Hopeful for an answer. The site uses the debut theme template. Followed instructions for adding the Reputon widget manually as the theme is old and it required copying/pasting code into the index.liquid file.
Had partial success as all the reviews from Etsy were published however the existing sections were no longer appearing in live view. So we undid the widget add but sections did not return.
By the time I found a way to go back to previous home page version it could not be restored as we had “saved” too many times trying to correct it. So now the homepage has header and footer, but my sections are gone.
If I go to customize theme, all the sections are still showing there, so I don’t think I have to rebuild.
In edit mode, template/index.liquid shows {{content_for_index.liquid}} (and nothing else). Perhaps something else is was there before we attempted the change?
No other files were touched, the rest of the site shows fine, but we need a working homepage.
