Seeking Advice on Getting Our PayPal Tracking Sync App Approved by Shopify

We’re facing an issue with our app “EZSync PayPal Tracking Sync,” which syncs tracking numbers to PayPal transactions. Shopify has rejected our app, stating the need for ownership of the payment gateway integrated. Our app, however, doesn’t process payments but only syncs tracking info to PayPal. Their review system send this message email, verbatim:

  1. While we understand that your app is not a payments app, as stated in Section 1.14 of Shopify’s prohibited app configurations, this requirement refers to the fact that any payment integration must be built specifically on the payments API by the owner of the payment gateway. Thus, in this case, since you don’t own Paypal, then you are not allowed to integrate with them.
