I’m reaching out from Wallzap, a company dedicated to creating innovative geeky display solutions, including art pieces and countercut metal posters. Following a successful Kickstarter campaign, we are now in the early stages of building our e-commerce platform to feature various artists. As part of this, we’re looking into the best ways to manage and payout commissions to our contributing artists.
Our objective is to find a streamlined process for tagging different artists’ artwork on our website, which will allow us to accurately monitor sales per artist and determine the commissions due. We are also looking to provide artists with the capability to log in and track their commissions or alternatively, receive regular email reports detailing their earnings.
Given that marketplace platforms face similar challenges, we believe there must be existing Shopify apps or services designed to facilitate this process. We welcome any recommendations for such tools. Additionally, if a bespoke development or integration is needed, we’re open to connecting with freelancers or agencies capable of tailoring such a service for our site.
Please note, as we’ve just concluded our Kickstarter and are in the initial phases of website development, our online presence is under construction. Any insights or recommendations you can share will be invaluable in supporting our artists and enhancing our platform’s functionality.
