Sounds like we aren’t the only ones experiencing the issue where a customer thinks they added a color variant to the cart after clicking on the variant thumbnail, but just clicking the thumbnail does not update the variant pill or dropdown in the product form. In other words, it works appropriately by changing the variant image when you select a different variant color in the pill/dropdown but not in the reverse by selecting the variant thumbnail.
Does anyone have the appropriate code snippets or a fix for this in Shopify 2.0? Seems there is a fix provided for vintage themes, but nothing out there for 2.0 yet. I understand it will take a bigger change in the theme code, but I’m trying to avoid hiring an “expert” so I can learn how to do this myself.
