Selecting variant doesn't trigger color text name to change - Dawn theme

I have just coded variant swatches to use images which works great, but the name of the colour listed below the price does not change when selecting a different variant, (unless you refresh the page after selecting variant).

I’d also like to be able to mouse over the swatch images and display the name of the colour (on the mouse) when hovering.

Using the Dawn theme. Thank you!

Hi! I was having the same issue as you, and it worked for me on the main product page as well. But when I tried this solution, it didn’t work for the quick-view modal. Have you been able to get this to work on the product modal as well? If so, how?
