I’m not sure if this is the right group and maybe this has been asked before but long story short, I have a brick and mortar and am online. One of my vendors offers drop shipping services which I thought would be great because it would allow me to still sell items online without it eating up my physical inventory. So I get SyncLogic connected, created a new “location” (one that is “in-store pickup” and the other “online only”). I go through the inventory and adjust the stock levels for each item. Every night it updates and syncs the products. I come in and I have a message from a local customer on FB, she would pay online and pickup in store, that says all that is showing is size 8, which I know is wrong because I haven’t even put my physical inventory out on the floor yet, so I know there is 4T, 5 & 6. I look at the item on Shopify and sure enough the inventory counts have been auto adjusted to what the vendor has in stock. I talked to SyncLogic and they said they don’t support multiple locations, the items are either synced per the handle or the sku, which short of having duplicate products on my website I don’t know how you would assign a separate sku for a variant that’s in a different location. So my question is has anyone ever ran into this where you physically sell something that you also dropship? If so how did you manage the inventory? Or maybe I am just wayyyy over complicating this.
This is exactly my situation, and I’ve had to duplicate items and mark one of them as for the POS channel only. I just did a sweep of the community and found related topics, but this one is the most applicable to my situation! I’d love to be able to create a variant and hide just that variant from everything but the POS channel, because it really is the same title (I write books), just a different format.

This is my exact same scenario! Were you ever able to figure out a good solution? My thoughts were to change the SKU’s slightly for the in-store items so the stock sync doesn’t pick it up. For now though, I am just creating an entirely different store for my in-person vs online since my online is all dropshipping and it clouds up my inventory reporting.
