I want to start a Shopify website where I sell products from other businesses. However I do not want to hold any stock so when a customer orders the business which the product is from would ship the product themselves, and I will earn a percentage on this sale.
I still want to control the product images, stock levels and prices but want the business to be notified when someone purchases their order. How do I do this?

This is a great business concept, Shopify offers the capability of creating a marketplace for sellers/vendors.
As the owner, you’re able to earn commission from your sellers. You can start by creating an account with Shopify and install the Multivendor Marketplace App

Is the multivendor marketplace app still the solution if the product manufacturer has no connection to Shopify or related apps?
I am selling art from artists who do not have the means….websites, ad skills, etc….to do it themselves, but want them to ship direct to customers while I handle the payment process, sending the artist the purchase price less my fee.
