Via our Shopify webshop we are selling wines. This is restricted and have problems to activate this.
How can we use Google Shoppping to have our wines listed?
Hello Geert, thank you for the question. This is a common problem. So selling wine is not allowed for display ads, so the first task is to ensure you are only targeting shopping ads and free listings, not display ads.
You can check by going here: https://merchants.google.com/mc/products/sources
Click on your feed > data source setup > then remove display ads from the marketing options if it’s included.
Then the second issue is that you will be limited due to selling alcohol. Regardless of what you try, you will be limited, because your ads are not allowed to be shown to all consumers, only those that have identified themselves as 18+, or whichever the age limit is in the country. So you can have wine listed in Google Shopping, but you will be flagged with limited performance. There is no way around this.
