I have a client whose shipping process is basically in two steps":
- Customers order a product and the brand sends out a foot impression kit
- Then the customer ships the impression kit back with the included prepaid return label
- Once the brand receives the impression kit, they then create custom insoles for their customer and ship them out
I am looking for a way to automatically send their customers a “Weve received your impression kit!” email at the beginning of step 3 when the return label has been marked as delivered back to the brand. I’ve tried integrating Shippo, using the API for a custom Shopify app, and I just can’t seem to get anything working. Is there a simpler way to do this?

Can you please elaborate on the details, like how you are marking the return label as delivered? Also, is there any tag added to the order if it is marked as delivered?
We would like the return label marked as delivered when UPS/USPS (whoever they ship through) marks it delivered. So it needs to connected to that order. There’s not currently any tags on the order if its marked as delivered, but this is something I can add if it gives us the solution we need.
Yes, so basically we have segment option. If the tag is available, we can trigger the workflow and send email to the customer.
