Send an email only when I tag an item as shipped...

Hi, I’m sure there’s a way to do this, but I don’t know how to set it up. If you could talk to me like I’m five, that would be great. :slightly_smiling_face:

I sell both digital products and physical products. (Books.) The digital books are delivered immediately and I’ve already got that working fine.

What I want to do now is send those who buy a paperback / physical book an email only once I’ve marked their order as shipped. I couldn’t figure out how to set only paperbacks to be not fulfilled, so for now, all orders are immediately marked as fulfilled. That’s fine and is working okay. I can just sort for paperbacks and find all unfulfilled items that way.

But once I tag the order as shipped. I would like to set up an automatic email with a notice that the book is in the mail and give them the Pirate Ship tracking number. Is this possible?

Oh, I’m using the Debut Theme, if that makes a difference.

Hi @LynnetteBonner , you can try to tag your order with the field other attribute is shipped, then combine it with Shopify flow to send emails.
That is a possible solution for you.

Thank you. I also think I found a way to do what I want using Pirate Ship. If that isn’t working for me, I’ll try to figure out your way.
