Sense Theme Makes Photos Blurry on Storefront

Hello Community!

When I add photos to the Sense Theme, whether it’s an Image with Text, a Slideshow, or any image file, the photo is quite blurry on the storefront itself despite the original image file being high resolution. Here is an example:

This is a screenshot of my Shopify storefront, and you’ll notice the photo on the left is extremely blurry. Here is the original image, the same one I uploaded to Shopify.

As you can see, it’s much higher quality.

Shopify Admin’s “Files” Tab in settings shows the resolution of my image as 4000 x 3111, but it is clearly being VERY compressed/blurred when using it (and any other photo) on my store.

Does anyone know how to fix this blur? I would appreciate the help.

Hey, @Lucoo

There could be a variety of different seasons causing this. Such as the color profile of the image, the image file type, or even the image size itself amongst other things. Luckily we have a guide to uploading images that will help you out.
