Hi for some reason there is a tab on the side of my page offering £5 if they send a link to a friend who also gets discount? How do I get rid of this been on every menu and can’t see how? Using an iPad if that makes a difference
Hi, @Stuartmartin .
Thank you for reaching out and posting this question!
I’ve taken a look at the Sense theme (using my test store) and I didn’t have any luck finding an option that allows setting up discounts for sending referral links. That being said, as this type of feature is commonly found in apps, such as email marketing or pop-up banners, so it’s possible that you’re seeing a feature from a third-party app that was recently installed.
Do you recall installing any third-party apps recently? If so, can you share the app names? Or, can you share your store URL?
Hi Elias,
not added anything other than loxo and dsers I think.
https://stuartmartin1.myshopify.com is my url I think.
thanks
Stuart
Hi, @Stuartmartin .
Thank you for following up and sharing your store URL!
I wasn’t able to get a closer look at your store (stuartmartin1.myshopify.com), as the password protection for your online store is currently enabled. However, since DSers is a dropshipping app, then it’s possible that the referral discount might be coming from the other app. Just to clarify, are you referring to Loox? If so, then are you seeing any features or settings for referrals or discounts on the Loox app?
If you’re not sure, then I’d be happy to take a closer look. However, in order for me to see your online store, you would need to disable the password protection. Furthermore, your store would need to be subscribed to a plan in order to disable the password protection. Did you get a chance to look over our monthly plans and find one suitable for your store moving forward?
Alternatively, the app developer is always available to assist you with their third-party app as well - you can reach out to them directly through the contact information found in the Support section of their app’s page.
That being said, some merchants find that removing the “Powered by Shopify” message can make their online store look more professional - would this be something that interests you? Have you considered using something like Shopify Inbox to interact with customers live on your store?
@Elias a password is maiyaw. Feel free to take a look checked the apps and couldn’t see anything but doesn’t mean something isn’t ticked somewhere.
Thanks
Stuart
Hey, @Stuartmartin .
Thank you for sharing the storefront password!
I was able to use Google’s Chrome DevTools to inspect your homepage, and it does look like the referral discount (eg. pop-up & side tab) is a feature coming from Loox.
If you need help disabling this feature, then I’ve also found their guide to help you out - Loox Referrals Incentives. However, if you need further assistance with this, then you may want to reach out to the developer directly - you can reach them at 'support@loox.io’.
That being said, I think there may be some opportunities for you to utilize more sections and blocks offered by your theme. Sections, such as the Featured product, Image banner, or Image with text, are great for showcasing products and sharing brand/company visions - they can also help add more content to your homepage and give visitors more to look at.
Do you have a marketing plan prepared for your store?
