How should we be adjusting our SEO strategy to also optimize for GEO?
AI models (like ChatGPT or Google’s AI Overviews) rely on high-quality, consistent content. To show up, you need a strong Google Business Profile, excellent customer reviews, and actual text on your site—not just images of text (like flyers made in Canva). Frequency is key. You should maintain a content calendar and regularly post updates, events, and news. AI models often cite their sources, so the more “crawlable” your information is across the web (including social media), the better. A good exercise is to ask an AI about your products and see what it currently knows so you can correct any gaps in its knowledge.

Start with the boring stuff first, clean schema, clear entity pages, consistent business information, and content that answers specific questions directly. We were tweaking rankings for months, then noticed AI tools barely referenced us.
While fixing that I used Riordan SEO and they helped tighten up the content structure so AI crawlers could pull information more easily. GEO feels more like being understandable than just being rankable.
