SEO Issue: i want to understand what happens

Hi guys,
I have a SEO issue.
I don’t understand why my local competitors continue ranking higher for an identical product (food supplement).

Search example: “rainpharma daily boost”.

My actual organic place is 9.

Although all my SEO for this product detail page is optimized following Google Search Console recommendations and re-indexation has been asked.

This is my product: https://www.djym.be/products/rainpharma-daily-boost

Most of those competitors don’t have their stuff optimized…

I would like to learn and understand what happens.

Can anyone help me?

Thanks!!

Hans

They may have higher domain authority. Have you done a competitor analysis using a tool like SEMRush?

Hi @hansverdoodt
There might be some possibilities:

  • They have been around longer and have built up more authority. Google takes into account the age of a website when ranking it.
  • They are using more relevant keywords.
  • They are using technical SEO best practices.

To improve your ranking for the keyword “rainpharma daily boost”, you can focus on the following:

  • Build up more authority. This can be done by creating high-quality content, getting backlinks from other websites, and participating in relevant online communities.
  • Use more relevant keywords. Do some keyword research to find the keywords that your target audience is using to search for products like yours. Use these keywords throughout your website, including in your title tag, meta description, and content.
  • Use technical SEO best practices. Make sure that your website is optimized for search engines by following technical SEO best practices. This includes things like optimizing the title tag and meta description, using structured data, and having a fast loading website.

Hope it helps!

Hi Caroline,

I didn’t do that yet, although we have a Semrush subscription. I will do this first. Should I need further assistance, i will come back to you. Thanks for your reply!

Hi Garcia,

Thanks for your reply. It helps!

I checked both websites authority with Semrush but they are the same (10). Which is low. So we need to work on that. But actually the score is equal.

Keywords should be optimized. Technical SEO also.

Thanks for your help!

Hans

Hey Hans, right now, your site has 99 different websites linking to it.

At the moment, most of the websites that outrank you for “rainpharma daily boost” have significantly more sites linking back to them.

Backlinks are one of the strongest signals that search engines look at to understand whether to rank you or a competitor first for a given query. My general advice would be to focus on getting more high-quality sites to link back to you, either through building relationships with other related businesses, contributing valuable insights in the form of article contributions or podcast interviews, and submitting expert quotes based on your personal experience through platforms like Help a Reporter Out.
