SEO Question about product template content

Is the content within the product template (such as a collapsible tab with info that populates for every product using the same template), searchable by google? If it is not within the “description” portion of the product, it does not seem to be searchable directly within my site’s search bar. Is this also true for Google?

  • Google reads everything on your page regardless of where it is put.
  • For your Shopify search, it depends on the theme what it searches.
    • Some themes only search titles of products,
    • some search products and collections
    • some search products, collections and pages
    • Etc

My theme does search collections, products, and pages - but unfortunately, does not search the info customized within the product template. I am looking for some type of workaround, currently.
