Separating Facebook Business Posts from Personal Posts

This might be more of a Facebook question, but I’m asking here because I’m worried about mixing my personal FB posts with a page I set up for my business. I want to keep things totally separate because I don’t want my employer to find out. I can’t be the only person in this situation, so how do people do this?

For example, I go to my page and change the background image. When I look in my activity, it shows my personal account name. This is something I’m trying to avoid. I would also like to create some posts, but I’m afraid it will happen again. How do people keep things separate?

Hey @Badkneecap

First, if you want to completely separate business activity from personal on FB, you may consider to register a business account at https://business.facebook.com/

With a business account you can create/manage pages as well which are completely separate from your personal account and operate under the business name you used on registration.

It’s also good for managing ad account if you plan running Facebook ads in the future.

Second, you may want to check your privacy settings on your personal account where you can fine tune who can see what from your data and activity here:

Hope this helps. Good luck!
