Shopify, please give us the ability to assign a shipping profile from the products, or to export products assigned to each profile!

Worth posting this on the Shopify Feature Request board so it gets upvoted.
The more merchants request it, the faster it gets prioritized.

Sounds like a great enhancement, this is a standard workflow hole in most systems. Shipping profiles are currently managed in Settings and there is no view that allows you to assign products directly on the product side. A practical workaround is to use product tags or a metafield to mirror each profile, then filter products in admin or bulk editor to manage assignments in bulk. When it comes to export you can make use of Shopify product CSV export with filtering by tags or an advanced export tool such as Matrixify and match products to shiping profile information for reporting and management.
We’re currently using a metafield to flag the shipping charge, so that we can call in that price on the pdp to make it clear up front to customers, but what’s happening is that some team members will change the metafield and not the shipping profile, or change the shipping profile and not the metafield, and then I have to periodically go through and reconcile them. We’ve got 300+ products in special shipping profiles, so it’s a lengthy and tedious process to go through the profiles manually. Especially now that the view of the products in the shipping profile is just all products and you have to either search or scroll until you find the ones in the profile - it used to show just the products IN the profile at first, and you had to search to add a new one to it. Heck, even that would be preferable to how it is now.
