Good day everyone. I want to make sure, that I do set up all my products correctly. Would like to get some advice on how to do it for the best performance and inventory management.
What I need to create:
Product with 3 flavours with 4 different pack sizes.
Collection for Packs and bundles (3 different packs of the same products above)
Section where you can select flavour, pack size in one place.
What I don’t want to create is 20 different products, collections with different inventories, which later can cost me some mistakes in tracking stuff. I was wondering if I do make 1 product and add variants for 3x flavours, 3x pack sizes OR make 3x different flavours, then 4x products for packs etc…
You need to set it up your way. And if you have to fix something or delete something, you can do that. It’s not one shot. You have plenty of time. You’re going to make mistakes. You’re going to get frustrated. It’s inevitable when you’re starting.
Start with the basics, and learn the ropes. As you grow in knowledge, you will expand your design and product availability to suit your needs.
So just create 1 product. Add images to the gallery. Then add variant options. 1st option, call it Flavor. Add the different flavor variants. Then add the 2nd option, call it Size. Then add the different sizes to that. Then click on the image icon next to the variant and assign the image to that variant. Easy peasy. No rush. Test it out. Change things. Get to know how everything works. And binge watch YouTube.
You can also set up each flavor as its own product if you want. Many people set up the variants as individual products.
