Setup Sales Channel App

Hi team!

We are working on the Sales channel App and it’s in the development mode now.

The App will display and send orders from another platform and therefore it won’t work with Shopify checkout.

Do we still have to follow this requirement: https://shopify.dev/docs/apps/checkout/cart-permalinks/cart-permalinks#step-1-create-a-cart-permalink?
Our App doesn’t process orders through Shopify cart.
Is this required for Shopify to track orders or commissions?

Has anyone tries setting it up?

You mention that “The App will display and send orders from another platform and therefore it won’t work with Shopify checkout.” - can you describe this a bit more so I can check if it is exempt from the requirement you linked?

Hi Liam,

The application acts as a mirror and creates an order in shopify based on the received order from Amazon, bypassing the shopify cart stage.
