I understand that the recent cash management improvements (New Cash Management Foundations for Shopify POS - Shopify Changelog) mean that it’s now possible for multiple POS devices to share a single cash drawer. Is that correct? If so, can someone tell me how to set this up please? Is it simply a case of connecting all devices to the same drawer through the Connectivity menu in the POS app or are there more steps involved?

Connecting the printer via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi alone is not enough. You also need to properly set up the “Registers” within the Shopify POS app. Please follow the steps below:
Register Setup:
Shopify now uses the concept of “Registers,” where one register represents one physical cash drawer.
On your main iPad, go to More > Settings > Cash Management.
Create a new register there (for example, name it “Main Counter”).
Next, open Shopify POS on your other iPads/iPhones and select the same “Main Counter” register on each device.
Once all devices are linked to the same register, the cash balance will sync and be visible across all devices.
Hardware Connectivity:
Your cash drawer must be physically connected to the receipt printer.
Then, every iPad that needs to open the cash drawer must also connect to that printer through the Connectivity menu.
Go to Settings > Connectivity > Setup Hardware and select that printer as the “Receipt Printer.”
Enable Cash Tracking:
Make sure Cash Tracking is enabled on all devices.
When a staff member opens the drawer at the beginning of the day, it will automatically appear as “Open” on all other linked devices as well.

Unfortunately, I don’t see a More > Settings > Cash Managementoption on our test device. Is this only displayed if the iPad is connected to a cash drawer?
