Ship and pickup in one order available for Plus and Enterprise plans

Ship and pickup in one order is one of our most requested features, and it’s now available to merchants on the Plus and Enterprise merchants through Feature Test Drive.

Customers can now select both shipping and store pickup for different items within a single order. Which can help drive in-store traffic, timeliness of purchase, higher order values, better conversions, and reduce unsold inventory.

How it works

  • Customers see all available delivery options in checkout for each item based on your locations, inventory, and delivery method setup.

  • When an order is created, separate fulfillments will link to the order in the Shopify admin to show which items are for pickup or shipping.

Enable in Feature test drive

You can enable the feature whenever you’re ready but note that this auto-releases to all eligible checkouts in July 2027. You can disable the feature anytime during the test window, but the sooner you join, the more time you’ll have to test and adjust your operations before it goes live.

Important: If your store uses third-party or custom apps, workflows, or integrations that interact with delivery, fulfillment, or order logic, thoroughly test them with this feature. We’ve notified app partners to prepare, but confirm directly with your developers if updates haven’t been completed.

Through early access testing, we’ve identified several gotchas to watch for:

  • Discounts are applied correctly when items in the same order have different delivery methods, including free shipping thresholds, order-level discounts, and buy X get Y logic

  • Email notifications that include fulfillment information render correctly in ship-only, pickup-only, and ship and pickup orders

  • And many more scenarios detailed in the help doc

Hi @Sharon_C is great to see. We actually built the same thing for a floral store on Plus 3 weeks ago, letting customers mix shipping and store pickup in one order, and it took a custom app plus a good few days to get the fulfillment splitting and notifications behaving properly. Nice to see it native now so others won’t have to go through that.

Hey @Sharon_C .
Hope you are doing great.

That’s a nice feature.
This helps a lot of stores with mixed cart needs.

Good idea, testing it early before the July 2027 auto release,
especially for stores with custom fulfilment apps.

Thanks for sharing.
Have a good day!

@SLASHCARTS Interesting! Have you played with the feature? Would love feedback esp from partners like you who tried to solve for the same issue. Will the floral store be using this or continue using the custom app? Happy that the customer have options in the solution but of course I’m biased towards my release

@SectionKit Absolutely! Please feel free to drop us feedback here if you’ve tested it!

Hi @Sharon_C,

Thanks for sharing this update. We’re currently testing the feature on a development environment and it looks very promising so far.

We’ll be implementing it on a live Shopify store soon and will share detailed feedback once we’ve had the opportunity to use it in a real-world scenario and validate our fulfillment workflows, notifications, and integrations.

Looking forward to seeing how it performs in production.

Thanks!
