Shipping carriers and multiple products within one order

Hello,

I have a client who wants to use the Shopify platform for their webshop. They sell car parts that vary in weight from 17.6 oz to 352-528 oz per product. For each product, it is possible to input all weights and dimensions. However, it is important that when a customer adds multiple products to their cart, the shipping carrier can automatically combine everything into one package, resulting in a more efficient automatically calculated shipping cost. If we don’t have this, the shipping costs for each individual product would be added together based on dimensions and weight, which could result in a more expensive outcome.

What is the best solution for this? Or best app? Are the integrated shipping carriers able to calculate this automatically? Is it possible that when certain products are choosen due to their dimensions and weights, the carrier will choose Mainfreight for instance to put al the products on a Euro Pallet for instance?

And if the shippingcarriers are a solution for this, which plan should we need for this? Is the shopify plan sufficient for this?
