I have recently switched shipping programs from Shipstation to Readyshipper X by Readycloud. After switching, I am no longer sending out emails with tracking information from Shopify. Readyshipper is sending the tracking data to Shopify and fulfilling the order. I have the emails turned on, the test email goes out, and manually fulfilling with a tracking number pasted into the order sends the email. Readyshipper is successfully sending emails but we get charged per email and Shopify is supposed to be able to do it on our pricing plan. My tech person at Readycloud says that other Readyshipper X users are getting their emails sent and thinks there is a conflict with one of our other apps. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Topic summary
Shopify shipping notification emails stop sending automatically after a switch from ShipStation to Readyshipper X (by Readycloud). Readyshipper X pushes tracking to Shopify and marks orders fulfilled, but Shopify’s own emails don’t go out.
What works vs. what doesn’t:
- Test notification from Shopify succeeds, and manual fulfillment with pasted tracking sends the email.
- Readyshipper X can send the emails, but incurs per‑email charges; the merchant expects Shopify to send them under their plan.
Suspected cause:
- Readycloud support reports other Readyshipper X users’ emails are sending; they suspect a conflict with another installed app.
Suggested next steps (from replies):
- Contact Readyshipper/Readycloud support for deeper troubleshooting or review app conflicts.
- Consider an alternative tool (TrackingMore) that integrates with Shopify, offers automatic notifications with 5 basic shipping statuses and custom triggers, and a 14‑day trial. Two images showing its Shopify integration and notification rules were included.
Status:
- No confirmed fix or root cause identified. Issue remains open; key question is which app interaction prevents Shopify from sending fulfillment emails when Readyshipper X performs the fulfillment.
