Does anyone use Plug In Hive for FedEx shipping?
There are 4 different items to this order but it will be too heavy to ship as a whole. I need to split it into 2 boxes. The “split” option doesn’t work.
I tried the “edit” option which split the order BUT I was only able to print 1 shipping label. I couldn’t get a label for the remaining products.
Hello @KarenFaulkner
You can easily pack your items into multiple boxes using the Shopify Ship, Rate, and Track for FedEx app before creating the shipping label.
To do this, navigate to the order page → More Actions → Generate Label and Generate Package. You can then edit the packaging information as needed. This process can also be automated using the Box Packaging or Weight-Based Packaging methods.
For detailed instructions, please refer to the document here: Create Label through the Shopify FedEx app
I also see that you have contacted our support and your ticket has been addressed. Should you have any further queries, kindly reach out to us here, we can arrange an onboarding call to assist you with the app setup as per your requirements.
Please feel free to reach out to me if you need any further assistance. Would be happy to help.
Thanks for replying.
Yes a representative contacted me and walked me through the process.
However I find this app not so simple to navigate, though I do understand it.
Within Shopify when using USPS or UPS all we have to do is select the items in the order
that need to be shipped in another box and it holds the other items for us to do the same with.
You would think the “split order” tab within Hive would actually split the order, then repeat
for the existing merchandise but it doesn’t.
Also with the plug in you have to go into the plug in to choose FedEx shipping
and generate a label. It would be nice if FedEx actually popped up with the rest
of the carriers. Maybe that’s a Shopify question.
