We are hoping to find out a little bit more about what can be made visible for the customer at checkout. Specifically we are looking to see if a breakdown of the shipping fees/charges line-by-line would be possible.
In an ideal world the checkout would look something along the lines of this:
Item X price X
Item Y Price y
Subtotal X+Y
Shipping Free
Out of Region Surcharge 29.95
Oversized Surcharge 14.95
Total X+Y+ 44.90
The surcharges we have here are based on shipping details rather than the order or products themselves. We are hoping to have these charges apply only to orders within certain shipping groups or when certain products are in the cart. More like a fee based on a shipping rule rather than an overarching handling fee.
I’m wondering if anyone knows how to do this or has any experience trying a set up like this? Id love to hear your feedback!
