Shipping Label - how to hide my phone number

I just made my first sale on shopify! Woohoo! However, when i printed off the shipping label (DPD) it is showing my address and my mobile phone number!

Does anyone know how to hide both address and phone number on the shipping label?

You can’t do that, unfortunately. No one has access to change that.

It’s kinda required to show the number and address of the vendor.

Hope this helps.Do mark this solved if you don’t have any other questions. :slightly_smiling_face:

Edit: I forgot to say this, but, congratulations on your first sale!! Horray!! :tada: :tada:

Hi @msyw2022 ,

Thanks for reaching out! I’m happy to help!

It absolutely makes sense that you’d like to keep your home address private.

The address on your shipping label will be pulled from your shipping profile and is also the address used to calculate your shipping rates. If you’d like to edit that address and/or phone number, you’ll find it under Settings > Locations in your admin. You can then update your shipping profile if it doesn’t automatically. Let me know if you run into any challenges doing so!

To clarify, this address differs from the one you’ve entered under Settings > General > Store address, which will appear on invoices and packing slips.

Let me know if this helps in your case!

Hi Iris

You are not answering my question. I am asking “HOW TO hide my address and phone number” … not how to edit.

It seems like many shopify owners are experiencing the same problem- unable to hide the sender address or phone number on the shipping label?? This is NOT ok and its not protecting the sellers’ privacy! There should be a button where seller can hide their address, or at least the phone number!

Sorry for the confusion @msyw2022 ,

Unfortunately, the contents of the shipping label are managed by the carriers and include the required elements they need to process shipments properly. Therefore, the merchant cannot edit any of the elements.

However, as mentioned above, you can edit the contents of the elements and change the address and/or phone number to your business one.

A shipping label should have your address in case of returns or to let the carrier know where to return the shipment if it can’t be delivered to the recipient’s address. If you don’t feel comfortable using your home or warehouse address, you might consider using a PO Box or a virtual mailbox. These options provide you with a separate business address to protect your privacy. Also, virtual mailboxes are often located in prestigious locations, giving you a professional business image.

Hopefully, you find this information helpful! Let me know if you have any additional questions.
