quick question. im placing a “test order” and its giving me an error message saying that “shipping is not available for that address” did i miss a step. if anyone can help id be very grateful. Thank you

I will need to gather some information before I can dig deeper into this for you. Do you currently have shipping rates set up for your region? If so, can you please share a screenshot of this page in your admin so I can make sure they are set up correctly? This is usually what causes this error in the checkout.

Thank you for your reply, and for providing that screenshot of your rates.
It looks like you only have shipping rates set up for orders over $150. You will need to set up rates for all order totals. For example, for orders $0-$50 shipping is $10, for orders $50.01-$150 shipping is $5, or something like that! You can decide how much you want to charge. Once you have rates set up for orders under $150, that error message should no longer show. Please let me know if this works for you.
