Seems like I can’t quite find the right solution.
My store has a product that fills one box. So if a customer orders more than one, the shipping cost is not reflective of shipping multiple boxes. Currently the shipping profile is based on weight. So the carrier-calculated rate collected ends up being way less than it should be for shipping multiple boxes.
The current workaround is to use flat rate shipping but we still have to limit the quantity by only allowing one purchase per order.
What third party app provides a mechanism where shipping can be calculated by box/weight, and not just weight?
Hey @NKAmuletz!
If you’re looking for a more accurate way to calculate shipping for multi-box orders, the PluginHive Shopify Multi Carrier Shipping LabelApp is a great solution.
It goes beyond standard weight-based calculations by factoring in both the number of boxes and their weight, ensuring your rates truly reflect your shipping costs.
Here’s how it helps:
-
Smart Box Packing: Automatically chooses the best box based on product dimensions and weight.
-
Multiple Box Configurations: Lets you set up different box sizes to match your products, so each order gets the right packaging.
-
Live Carrier Rates: Connects directly with 30+ shipping carriers to fetch real-time, accurate shipping costs.
With this setup, you can skip the flat-rate workaround and confidently offer shipping for multiple-box orders.
