now i’m starting my own brand. now I have a problem with shipping rates.
I want to ship through whole Europe but some countries are more expensive to ship to.
Now what I had in mind for this is creating a shipping rate price drop the more items your order. For example I have created different zones with countries. example below:
Zone C: Spain , italy & Portugal. for all these countries applies the same described below:
If you order 1 item the shipping cost will be 10 euros.
if you order 2 items the shipping cost will be 5 euros.
if you order 3 item the shipping cost will be free.
the reason for this is so I can stimulate people to order more items so they can get a free shipping but at the same time still offer a cheaper shipping rate while ordering maybe just 1 extra item.
this is what i want to achieve. now the downside is shopify only offers price & weight.
In my products price I have a price put in of 5 euro for shipping and packaging. so let’s say my costs to make the product are 15 euros than 5 euros goes on top of that for shipping and packing making a total cost of 20 euros than if I want a gross margin of 50% the product will cost for consumer 40 euros. now i hope you get a better understanding of my thoughts about this.
if people have any experience on how to achieve this and if it’s any good please let me know.
