Shipping profiles, different cost for items but adding together at checkout?

I cannot for the life of me get my head around this :joy: .

I will be selling a mixture of Large Letter items (UK Royal Mail) and boxed items that will need a courier.

I have created two profiles, one for large letter (low ticket items, small items) £2.00 and another for courier (£6.00) for large boxed items that have to go through this method.

When I add a small item (Set with Large Letter profile) and large item (set with courier profile) the shipping charge at checkout is added together (£8.00) rather than just using the larger rate (£6.00).

How can I get the shipping to combine when small items are purchased with larger items.

Unfortunately, this cannot be achieved with the inbuilt Shopify shipping as when using multiple shipping profiles, if orders contain products from different profiles or locations, this will result in combined rates at the checkout. Currently, the only available workaround would be to use an app like** Multi Carrier Shipping Label App** to set up more specific shipping rules.
