Want to leave some feedback about Shopify shipping profiles. When I have thousands of items in my store and they are in different shipping profiles, it would be a LOT easier to find items when clicking on “products” within that shipping profile. As of right now, if I click on 1 shipping profile, then click on “products”, it makes way more sense to only show me the products actually in that profile, not every available item in my store. For example, I have one shipping profile that only has 3 skus within it. When I now click on that, it won’t just show me those 3 skus, it shows me a list of over 1000 skus that I would have to scroll through.
Have you tried submitting an actual feature request to Shopify Support through the Help Chat?
In the meantime, I would suggest using Sidekick to create a Shipping Profile Manager app. If you open up Sidekick, at the bottom of the chat there is an “app” toggle (if still available).
Mine is tremendously useful, and infinitely better than anything that can be done in the Settings. Can filter, modify, group, change profiles, flag me if something is out of place, you name it. It really is worth it.

Two corrections to the reply above though: feature requests through the support chat rarely go anywhere, so post it on community.shopify.dev instead, that’s where Shopify’s product people actually engage. And you don’t need Sidekick to build an app for this, since the products in a profile are already queryable through the Admin API, so a small private script for your store can list exactly what’s in each profile and even move products between profiles in bulk, no marketplace app and no monthly fee.
In the meantime, the quickest native workaround is to tag your products by shipping profile (bulk edit makes that fast), so you can filter your product list by that tag and instantly see what’s in each one without scrolling 1000 SKUs.

That would be a good enhancement for stores with big catalogs and more than one shipping profile. The Products tab, should would be an ideal inheriting the selected profile as a filter and show only the products that are linked to that profile. However, the product search and filtering can be used in the meantime to narrow down the list before making modifications. Also I’d suggest to post it as a feature request with the specific workflow and example you gave, cause it’s the clearest to see how much scrolling this forces you to do.
