Hello! Recently, I’ve been trying to fix my shipping because it wants to charge my customers $15 for USPS Ground Advantage. This, of course, causes me to lose any business I could have. When using the shipping calculator, it shows me it would be about $6.33, so I will set the rate for about $7.99. No matter where the package is going, it still wants to charge $15. I have talked to Shopify support, but they told me that the only thing I could do is talk to USPS directly. I haven’t been able to contact anyone from USPS because it always gives me an automated robot with only options to ask about packages. I’m not sure what to do here.
Check out the default box dimensions and weight on Shopify, as these are common reasons for discrepancies in rates.
Note that Shopify does not support using specific carrier boxes at checkout.
If you are looking for this feature, you may need an app like the PH Multi Carrier Shipping Label app to support USPS boxes and calculate the best shipping rates for your buyers.
