Shop appearance

@NKCreativeSoulutions
Hi,

You answered my message about how my store looked and I went back through the messages and couldn’t find a couple you had sent. I did the collections like you said and worked on it for many hours I’m not completely done with the home page I want to add my pictures there and buttons ppl can click on to go to certain sections to navigate easily. Would you mind taking a look at it now and give me some feedback please? Moeeb had said my pictures were trash what can I do to make them better and my descriptions are bad too any insight?

I am a small shop who sells jewelry and jewelry supples. I try to find one of a kind items. You will not see mass quantities of any of my listings.

You’re making progress, and that’s what matters. :+1:

I took another look, and I think adding those homepage category images with buttons will definitely help visitors navigate the store more easily.

Regarding the photos, I wouldn’t call them “trash.” I think the biggest opportunity is consistency. Try using:

  • Cleaner backgrounds

  • Better lighting

  • Similar image dimensions across products

  • Close-up shots showing details and craftsmanship

For descriptions, focus less on features and more on what makes each piece unique. Since many of your items are one-of-a-kind, highlight that story and why a buyer would love owning it.

Keep improving one section at a time, you’re already moving in the right direction.

Are there any of my products that have good pictures so I can get a better idea of what people are talking about? I do appreciate you taking the time to answer my question everyone.

The reason you couldn’t find it is because you had multiple posts and one of the forum mods merged them together into one long post, then closed the topic. Still there though if you go to your history.

Second, this forum is full of chatgpt/sidekick nonsense that may feel good but don’t actually help you change for the better. And often it’s just incorrect. So just be wary.

I would definitely take advantage of the search in this forum. Many many merchants and store links to check out and compare.

G’day @karmaskornerjewelry,

Here I am! You should be able to access messages by clicking/tapping on your little picture in the top right hand corner (that’s where my account name and pic are), then click/tap on the little envelope :envelope: icon.

I’m checking out the collections/all page and the first thing I would recommend is getting all the sizes/dimensions the same. This may mean cropping some images or you could add a little border, which matches the background colour of your store (which is white, right?) to make them all the same. That would then align all of your images, the names, and the prices and makes the presentation a bit neater.

I think the “best” image is the heart and ball bracelet on the wrist image. A potential customer can see how it would look on a person, adds a bit more credibility. Once the customer clicks on to find out more, then all the other pics seem fine.

The Keychain and Pen blank photos probably need to be changed. In the keychain photos, I’d choose the one with the hand in the bottom right hand corner as the default, although, if I look closely, I can tell that something is “not right” with the image there - the shadows don’t all match. I don’t know if a customer would be so discerning… but it’s something to consider in the future. If something doesn’t sit right, it can lead to distrust and a missed sale.

As for the pens: https://karmaskornerkreations.myshopify.com/cdn/shop/files/B8E137C1-B287-4DDF-9AB5-3C417621A3CA.jpg?v=1780779154&width=3840

Check that one out. I’d probably also label the photo of the refills, it otherwise seems like a strange image to have.

As for the product descriptions, a quick (not perfect) fix, is to take the descriptions you have, and write a prompt like this to an ai: “read this product description, correct my writing and naturally work in any relevant search terms”. If you already have some SEO keywords or long phrases, tell the ai to write them in.

Hope that helps!

Nathan
