Shop Critique

Topic summary

A store owner seeks advice on improving conversion rates.

Another participant explains funnel marketing as a customer tracking system that segments visitors into three groups:

  1. People who arrive via ads
  2. Those who view products but abandon before checkout
  3. Customers who complete purchases

The approach involves sending targeted reminders at each stage to move users through the funnel. The responder mentions integrating Klaviyo for automated follow-ups, particularly useful for recovering abandoned carts—especially relevant since the store sells food products.

The original poster acknowledges the advice and indicates they’re already implementing this strategy.

Yes. Hello! What is funnel marketing?

Hi! Funnel Marketing involves customer activity tracking, to my own understanding. Let me explain. A system is set in place to actually track people who visit your store. Basically the system filters out three sets of people:

  1. Those who visit your store through your ads
  2. Those who click on a product to buy it but don’t check out
  3. Those who actually check out.

Now for every set of people you get to visit your store, reminders are sent to these people at each level or stage to remind them to move to the next one. This way you get to actually see people who forgot to checkout and eventually buy something. Now, I sell food

related products and I know people may forget to actually checkout so I had someone integrate klaviyo which really helped overtime.
I hope this helps. Thanks!

Cool. Thank you for that information!

Thank you. I’m already on it.
