A merchant based in the EU is requesting access to Shop Pay Installments (including services like Affirm) for their Shopify store. Despite approximately 60% of their customers being US-based and their store operating in USD, they cannot currently offer installment payment options due to their EU location.
One user suggested an alternative workaround: using a Stripe account, which functions regardless of the store’s location and supports multiple currencies and various payment methods. A link to more information about this Stripe solution was provided.
The issue remains unresolved as an official feature request, with the merchant seeking Shopify to enable Shop Pay Installments for EU-based sellers serving international customers.
I would really like to see Shop Pay Installments (Affirm, etc.) available in the EU. My store’s default language is English, and the default currency is USD. Although around 60% of my customers are from the US, I’m still unable to offer them more convenient payment options.
Please allow us, as sellers, to use Shop Pay Installments in the EU
