I am both a shopify partner and affiliate. I have been having my clients sign up via my affiliate link and I create their website using my shopify partner dashboard. When I transfer ownership of the website to my client they must sign up for a full shopify plan. My understanding is that when a client who clicks your affiliate link transfers from a trial plan to a full shopify plan, I would be eligible for the $150 payout that the shopify affiliate provides? Is this correct?

Rio here from the Shopify Community team. Once the client migrates to a paid plan from their trial, you would be eligible for the payout. You can read more about it here.

Hey Rio. In my case, this is exactly what happened. A few clients who clicked my link ,upgraded from the free trial to a paid plan however I never received commission for it.
