Since December 18, 2024, the Shopify Analytics for one of our clients has been broken.
By “broken,” I mean that the tracked number of users has decreased by 90%, while revenue and sales have remained unchanged.
We discovered that two cookies are missing (even when everything is accepted):
_shopify_sa_t
_shopify_sa_p
The key issue is that the store is currently running on a Shopify 1.0 theme (a new 2.0 theme is in progress).
We tested the preview of a 2.0 theme, and there, we can see these two cookies.
Does anyone know if the new analytics isn’t fully compatible with the 1.0 themes?
And how to temporarily fix this?
