Shopify analytics report for already more than 2 years poorly

Shopify analytics have been sht for more than 2 years now. They tell you “they work on it”. It is just a fcking joke what they do and the new update is as sht as it was before. The conversiondata is still as poor as it was. I dont really know what kind of work they did for the past 2 years. But they the deliver so much bullsht.

Every year they have a “Shopify Winter event” to come up with new “updates”. But fixing problem is to difficult for almost 2 years. If they put the energy in were it should be, make shopify analytics work as good as it was, instead of this bullsh*t update in their “events”.

When will it dawn on shopify that nobody is waiting for that bullsh*t update but that analytics is a mega big pillar to run a webshop. After more than 2 years of accepting every excuse from you guys may now start delivering.

So no excuses anymore because there are plenty and plenty of discussions about this topic and you guys keep your d*mn mouth shut.

I hear you, and I get the frustration. Having accurate data is crucial for making the right business decisions, and when the built-in analytics don’t deliver, it can be a real headache.

If you’re looking for a more reliable way to track conversions and user behavior, I’d highly recommend setting up Google Analytics 4 (GA4) with Google Tag Manager (GTM). GA4 gives you deeper insights into customer behavior, sales performance, and even how different marketing channels contribute to conversions. Plus, with GTM, you can set up custom tracking to measure exactly what matters to your store.

Let me know if you want some guidance on getting it set up! It can make a huge difference in understanding what’s really happening in your store.

We already have that cause Shopify is so disabled to make fundamental part working, which is data and tracking.

But still the order in meta/google are not correctly processed.

It is time that another platform stand up and do the right thing, shopify has shown that is completely lost in the design and not provide the users what they need.

I understand your frustration with data inaccuracies, even after setting up GA4 and GTM. These issues can result from misconfigurations, script conflicts, or data privacy regulations affecting tracking accuracy.

To address these challenges, conducting a thorough audit of your tracking setup is essential. This includes reviewing your Shopify settings, ensuring all tracking codes are correctly implemented, and verifying that recent theme changes or third-party apps haven’t disrupted your analytics.

If you need personalized assistance to navigate these complexities, feel free to reach out to me directly. I’m here to help you optimize your analytics for more reliable data insights.

Already having GA4 and GTM set up and still seeing wrong conversion data sent to Meta is the part that matters here - that rules out a setup problem and points to Shopify itself not correctly passing order data downstream.

At that point the issue isn’t your tracking stack, it’s the source.

Have you been able to figure out which specific orders or order types are getting lost in the handoff?
