Shopify and Bookvault uninstall/install problem

I had a problem on Shopify where I couldn’t log into book vault so I un-nstalled the app in hope I could re install it. However since trying to reinstall it it won’t let me me on Shopify yet it redirects me to the book vault portal where it is still connected to Shopify? Im desperate for help on this. Ive contacted Shopify however the same problems are happening. Im getting really desperate for help on this, therefor if anyone can help id really appreciate it. Not sure if it’s a Shopify problem or a book vault problem.

I am having this exact same problem as well. Shopify support has been helpful, but clearly it is something Bookvault did in the installation process that they are NOT uninstalling in the removal process.

My experience with Bookvault’s apps both in Woocommerce and now Shopify has been pretty terrible.

ME TOO - any answers?.. I press reinstalll -= but it doesn’t;t do it. They said the issue was with Book Vault

I’m having this exact same issue. I uninstalled the app because it wasn’t working. It’s now in my uninstalled apps, but clicking on it takes me to the Bookvault page. On Bookvault apps, I see my Shopify store in the drop down, but when I try to create a product, it won’t save. It isn’t linking.

I opened a ticket with Bookvault 2 days ago, but I’ve gotten no response.

Bookvault answered my question with the below.

This seems to be linked to an ongoing issue we’re facing with the Shopify API. Our IT team are currently working on a fix and hope to have that in place in the next day or so. I’ll follow up once I have more news.

Update: Some minimal progress. I can at least list my books now on BookVault. Before, I would create the listing and upload the book, but then when I reloaded the page, the listing was gone. Now it persists. I still can’t reinstall BookVault on Shopify so I can’t actually sell the book. Hopefully this gets fixed or I’m spending $30 per book on BookVault for nothing.

Speak to Bookvault. I emailed them about it and they said “Thanks for your email, I have removed all connections from our database to your store as there looks like there was still a connection made - if you could try and re-install the app now”. I managed to reinstall the app again after they did that.

That’s good to hear. I have an open ticket with them, so I’ll see if I can get this same resolution.

Was yours resolved? We are having the same issue. Orders from Shopify were not transferring to book vault. So we uninstalled it thinking that might fix it, and now we can’t get it back. Super frustrating as we have tons of people waiting to buy the books, and Bookvault takes ages to respond.

The initial problem of installing the app was resolved. I had a ticket open with customer service, and they didn’t inform me they’d fixed it, but one day last week, I went into the Apps in Settings, found Bookvault in the Uninstalled apps, and clicked Install, and it finally opened a configuration pop-up instead of sending me to the Bookvault page. Now I can link Shopify products to Bookvault, and it creates a linked listing, but the shipping profile seems half loaded, and I only have AU and CA available. I’ve asked them if maybe they need to unlink the whole thing and let me start from scratch.

Yes, the issue was fixed by contacting Bookvault and having them flush the cache on their end.
