Shopify app customer/data_request webhook is not getting triggered

Hi,

I’m creating an offsite payments app following the documentation and the remix template. Now, when I uninstall the app from the store, the webhook gets executed just fine but when I try to request customer data from the development store dashboard (the payments app is already installed on the store), the webhook doesn’t even get executed let alone cause an error. I already have configured the mandatory compliance URL webhooks on the partner dashboard and also requested the customer data access from API Access section, its still not working.

Just to confirm - the only time this webhook triggers for the app is when the app is uninstalled? And you’re making this request here?

Yes, the only time the webhook triggers is when the app is uninstalled and also, yes, I’m making the request as shown in the screenshot.

Hi Hmk-Pmnt,

Our teams have not made any changes to the webhook or how it should operate, so it’s difficult to see why this may be happening. You should contact partner support directly who can authenticate you and look into this store specifically.
