I am working on a new Shopify app with a web pixel extension. The existing app is experiencing Liquid deprecation issues. There is no payment involved in the app. I would like to know how the app upgrade process works after releasing the new version.
- Will clients be force upgraded?
- Can they choose to stay on the existing app?
- If they can stay on the old app, will they receive an upgrade notification?
Additionally, is it possible to test this process before the release?
