Shopify has a great tool in the Bulk Editor; however, I feel there is a significant missed opportunity regarding its efficiency.
Every time I open the Bulk Editor, it is pre-configured with fields I never use. I have to manually remove them one by one, which is very time-consuming. To improve the workflow, I suggest adding the following:
Clear All Fields Button: A single option to deselect all current fields instantly. Saved Configurations: The ability to save different field layouts so we can switch between tasks (e.g., SEO, Inventory, Pricing) with one click.
Currently, I find myself using external apps because the built-in tool requires too much manual setup. If any Shopify developers are reading, please consider these updates to streamline our workflow!
I’ve had the same impression, a lot of the pain in bulk product editing is just how repetitive and manual the workflow still is.
I’m currently exploring an AI workflow tool that turns plain-language instructions or raw spreadsheets into bulk product edits, instead of making merchants clean up and edit rows one by one.
Would be love to hear whether your main pain is Bulk Editor setup, CSV cleanup, or import risk.
HI Yes i am doing the same i am using AI Tool to do a lot of editing and clean up , however my main source of truth is no longer shopify , i recently start using sellercloud (not recommending at all) so i was doing a lot of clean up with my products, if its couple of styles i was using shopify Bulk editor, but on Large editing i am using Abelstar bulk editor which is great, since i start using sellercloud as my inventory management system and AI Tool , the shopify bulk editor is less relevant
