So I’ve been talking to a lot of people who run stores are a lot of the people have been reporting big drop offs from people who reach checkout to converting. These issues started to happen early September. I know shopify came out saying that there was issues but they said that those were “fixed” but numbers wise in the funnel according to so many people they just still see big drop offs from people who are reaching checkout to purchased.
I’ve been using shopify since 2017 and NEVER seen these kinds of checkout drop offs before. I have a feeling that shopify changed something in the checkout this past year and it’s never been how it use to be. Also you use to be able to see a good majority of the “reached checkouts” as abandoned checkouts in the abandoned checkouts page in admin but now a days you barely see any of them.
And so many people have been complaining to support and they said everything is “fine” or “okay” with your checkout but how can everything be “fine” when there’s big drop offs?!? Makes no sense. Us store owners are literally losing money day by day and Shopify gets richer and richer day by day.
