Hi, @harsh9 .
Welcome to the Shopify Community, and thanks for sharing your question.
I’m unable to access the link you have shared here as it requires a password. Could you share a bit more context regarding why you’d like to disable the email being sent via the checkout URL?
I want email being sent through the checkout url to be disable as I dont want customer to modify that email , is it possible ?
Thanks for your response.
Could you clarify if you’re referring to the abandoned checkout email or the order confirmation email? I’d like to ensure I understand in order to help you best.
I want the highlighted field (Email) to be disabled such that customer cannot modify it , once sent through the checkout url
Thanks for clarifying.
To advise, you’re able to customize some of the fields on your checkout pages so that they are required, optional, or hidden. However, disabling the email section is not possible as we require this information to send order confirmation emails to the customer. You can find more information in our Help Center resource on what checkout fields you’re able to edit.
I think there is some sort of confusion.
we will be filling email field via url so there should not be any issue with the sending of confirmation emails to the customer , but we don’t want to provide the ability to user to modify it once we set it from the url , is this possible?
I think it may be best to reach out through the Shopify Help Center, so our team can take a more detailed look into this specific section. You can create a support request by typing your question to our Help Center Assistant and clicking the option to chat with a live Support Advisor.
