Shopify Collective Variant Restrictions Need to Change / Expand

I have run into an issue with the Shopify Collective program. The collective limits products that have over 100 variants. I know this might seem crazy and that there are workarounds, but we don’t want these. I just want the limit on variations taken off.
I deal with travel products, specifically those that are personalized for different Countries and Cities, which is a vast number. The items work fine on the host store but can’t be shared through the collective.
I have researched and found that this issue has existed for some time with no apparent fix… hoping this can be looked at.

Honestly, there has been two editions of Shopify update on this coming out but somehow this is never making it. There has been talks of the variant limit to be increased to 2000 but we never know exactly when.

I am not sure but may be this is something on higher plan, may be.

Have never heard the “Higher Plan” thing.. I’m pretty high up and with the amount of Sales I run through, I have to be in the top 5 %or 10% of Shopify stores….
Thanks for the info…. Maybe someone from Shopify can chime in and give an answer or fix the issue.

Yes this something that Shopify itself can take care of. Have been following the editions and this feature update of increasing the variant limit has not been released. This is something a lot of store owners have been experiencing for years now. It’s just a waiting game until Shopify finally updates that.

Wonderting if Anyone has heard if there has been any movement on this…

Variant limit will increase in the near future but we don’t know yet when so I would sepearate variants to products in a way that it will fit 100 variant limit. For example create different products by countries and for each product add variations for size, color etc.

I am unable to make the change; the issue arises when I attempt to import items through Shopify’s Collective program. I don’t have control over this, and the people who do have no interest in making the change…
I am having great success with this company’s products, but I am very limited on some of the most popular items due to this imposed limit… It is costing me sales and my customers a better shopping experience.
