Hi, I’m trying to customize my store using the Dawn theme and add some image-with-text banners (like a multi-row section). However, the images I upload there become unreadable or too distorted.
I’m aware that image compression happens, and I’m okay with that for product photos. But the images I upload specifically in the theme customization (image banners) get heavily distorted—no matter what image size or file format I use. I’ve tried multiple images, and the result is always the same. Even GIFs look unbearably bad.
This only happens in the Dawn theme. I checked with other themes, and the images display just fine there.
Can someone please tell me what the problem is? It’s becoming really frustrating.
Did you at any point resize the image through the built-in image editor? If so, the image will remain compressed even after restoring it to its original size.
As you can see in the above screenshot, the image is no longer blurry. If this still doesn’t work, could you please share the image file you’re using, and where exactly in the theme customiser you’ve uploaded the image? Additionally, it would help if you could share a link to the theme you’re working on and the password if applicable.
