Hi Shopify community!

I am not a developer but I am considering learning this course for better understanding. If someone passes this exam, please let me know:

  1. how difficult and how technical the exam is; 2) The resources of the Shopify Academy are enough to prepare for the exam; if not, what courses are recommended?

From the perspective of someone who doesn’t write code directly, is this certification exam still easy to pass?

Yes. No coding skills required in this exam.

Hmm not sure why you will say no coding involved. There are good amount of questions related to liquid and graphql queries related

I think the exam in general is ok easy but the problem is with the passing score that is 80%. Which is very high compare to other certifications exam out there which most likely they are around 70%. There are some confusing implementation related questions that you will need to have some experience on it to know how to implement so those were the ones I had some hard time with. The biggest issue I have with this exam is that they dont provide you with any report of some type what you did wrong to know where to improve.

Do they include tasks like writing code for theme customization or creating queries or mutations?

It’s all multiple choice, but you will have to choose the correct code from among similar but wrong code.

THIS!! 100% Agree, I suggest there were far too many questions where in high school the teacher would say: “you need to choose the best option in my opinion.” There were far too many questions where there was more than one correct answer, but I assume that Shopify believes one of those answers is more correct than the others.
Absolutely agree with the total lack of feedback. I felt dumber after finishing the Assessment than I did before i started. And I’ve had to use the AI Help and Google to find answers to some of the questions, because they are not covered in the course, or if they are, in the “click here to learn more” and the answer is buried somewhere in their documentation.

Can we use AI for 5-8 questions as i believe 5-10 questions are outside the learning path that we get from the course.

will they get to know we are using the mobile?
