We use AWS to provide much of our web infrastructure. We use a single domain to do this and AWS does all the DNS, we then use Lambda to route different requests to different servers based the URL of that request. We use Shopify for our customer facing website and everything else runs on AWS.
When a customer requests www or our domain name, we forward them to our Shopify website. This has stopped working (we are getting a 403 denied from Cloudfront) as Shopify looks like it has checked our DNS and seen that we do not have the correct A and CNAME records in our DNS - (which means we are sending all requests to our domain to Shopify). We cannot forward our entire domain to Shopify as it does not have AWS Lambda functionality that will allow us to reroute different URLS and do all sorts of stuff.
We have asked Shopify support several times who does not understand our request and keeps responding the same thing over and over. Is there a way to verify a domain without having to send all requests for a domain to Shopify?
