I have forfeited over $500 because the dispute process with Shopify is so exhausting, time consuming, and frustrating. I have been trying to move any money that comes through Shopify out of Balance immediately. Unfortunately I didn’t do that recently and there are multiple charges that I do not recognize. if I contact “Customer Support”if I contact “Customer Support“ — which, by the way, why do I have to do that? Why doesn’t Shopify provide the same convenience that every other bank provides, which is to allow me to dispute a charge online by pressing a couple of buttons — Shopify will tell me to contact my bank and my bank will tell me that Shopify needs to deal with it, so what am I to do exactly besides continue to forfeit money? Why does Shopify get a percentage of sales along with the fee I pay to have a website on their platform if they do not protect the money I then make using their platform? How does this make any sense and how is it ok? Shopify has a class action lawsuit waiting to happen if they don’t clean it up and figure it out; we are small business owners, and every penny matters.
