Shopify doesn’t hold everyone to their TOS equally

Legal first asked for documentation to prove I’m an authorized reseller of branded goods. So I submit those. Then legal doesn’t even address it and instead goes on to claim that mystery boxes and scoops are against their TOS and that’s the reason why they are disabling Shopify payments. No chance to fix my listings. No warning at all. Why didn’t you first bring this up when you asked for reseller documentation? Toddlers are running legal. When I tell them mystery boxes/scoops are not outlined in their payment TOS and show them other shops on their platform who does the same thing, they finally say ‘okay well then maybe if you add more details of the contents of the mystery box in your description then maybe we can consider your account eligible for Shopify payments.’ ffs.

I had to ask over 3 times to address the status of the reseller documents because they wouldn’t stop going on about the mystery box thing and FINALLY they told me I was authorized.

By the way, I already had a detailed itemization in the description but I added a few more just incase.

ON TOP OF THAT THEIR RESPONSES ARE SLOW WHILE I’M LOSING SALES.

When you guys want something from me, you’re fast to respond but when I need help, you guys are hella slow. Unbelievable. Shopify clearly singles people out and does not apply their TOS to everyone equally.
